Hello, my name is Jessica. I live in Menomonie, and I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Vocational Rehabilitation from UW- Stout. I have a passion for helping others achieve their goals and live their best life. I have many years of experience working with people with disabilities and mental health. For the past 7 years I worked in case management for a long-term care program. I supported people with physical/intellectual disabilities, frail elders and low-income individuals to be as independent as possible and achieve their goals. I have experience providing community resources, housing support, employment support, organizational skills, and daily living skills. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son. I love waterskiing, snowmobiling, hiking, and anything outdoors. I look forward to helping you achieve your goals!

Hi, my name is Hannah! I am a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, where I earned a
bachelor’s degree in psychology along with a professional certificate in ethics. I’m passionate about continuing my education with a degree in clinical psychology, aiming to incorporate alternative medicine
into a cognitive and dialectical behavioral practice. My focus is including but not limited to helping people through wellness and recovery, emotional regulation,
coping strategies, and mentoring to address mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. From a young age,
I was fascinated by how people think and process emotions. In high school, I began researching psychology to understand my own mind and develop healthy coping strategies, as therapy was not financially
feasible for my family. This experience sparked my lifelong journey into the
field. Additionally, witnessing family members struggle
with addiction and trauma taught me how mental processes can vary and affect individuals differently. Losing my stepmother to addiction and helping my dad raise my younger sisters solidified my commitment to pursuing a career in mental health. I aspire to bring awareness, a support system, and make a real difference in people's lives, especially those who face similar challenges, by creating a safe space where they can grow and achieve their personal goals. Outside of my professional pursuits, I enjoy drawing, painting, playing guitar, spending time outdoors, traveling, and I am always willing to try new things! My artistic side
helps me approach challenges with creativity and an open mind, while my positive outlook allows me to find light in even the most difficult situations. My goal and something I look forward to, is offering support for others and being a trusted guide on this journey!

Hello! My name is Kenzie. I obtained my bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin Stout and majored in Rehabilitation Services. I have always loved being able to work with others from a very young age. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, traveling the country, and barrel racing as I found it has pushed me to continue setting goals and learning new life lessons along the way. I have primarily worked with adolescents and youth while assisting them with developing skills to feel comfortable managing their own emotions, behaviors, discovering different coping mechanisms, organization, and independent life skills to fit each individual needs by utilizing natural supports in the community. I am EAGLA (Equine Assisted Growth And Learning Association) certified. Horses have always played such a huge role in my life while growing up and still do to this day. Witnessing them assist peers overcome hardships and learn independent skills through a variety of exercises to improve other areas of the client’s life, like they have for myself was eye opening and makes me truly value what building a positive relationship can be made of, not only by humans, but animals being included.

Hi everyone! My name is Lindsay. I grew up in the small town of Crandon in northeast Wisconsin where I participated in all kinds of sports and activities. I grew up with my favorite animals–bunny rabbits and horses in a tiny town just north of Crandon–Argonne! I am currently living in River Falls, WI where I am attending graduate school at UW-Stout in Menomonie. I am pursuing my goal of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and am set to graduate in 2025. My areas of focus are trauma/crisis, AODA and overall wellness. For my undergraduate, I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in biology from UW-Eau Claire. I absolutely loved my time in Eau Claire and am looking forward to staying in the western part of the state.
I have experience working as a Research Assistant for two years in Dr. Jennifer Muehlenkamp’s Suicide Prevention and Research Collaborative (SPARC) Lab where I assisted in running high-risk participants through a study examining their sleep, activity, and mood in correlation with their self-harm thoughts and behaviors. Something that has also helped shape who I am today is my background and history working with the two prominent Native American Tribes in my area. The past two summers, I worked as the Summer Youth Employment Coordinator and Supervisor for the Forest County Potawatomi Tribe. Even with being from the area, I learned so much more about their culture and traditions as well as have seen the mental health adversities and drug epidemics they face.
In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my two sisters (I am the middle child!), my friends, and my family. A few things I love include volleyball, staying active, being outside, shopping, sweets, self-care activities, and traveling!
I will be able to provide services in various areas including but not limited to: self-esteem, coping strategies for stress, emotion regulation, the processing of grief, organizational skills, positive peer mentoring, the processing of adverse life experiences, coping skills for anxiety, and overall skills for better well-being. I am looking forward to helping people achieve their goals!

Hello and Welcome to your healing and self-recovery journey! My name is Kalianna. I live in the Dunn County Area, where I am completing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in substance abuse and trauma/crisis at UW-Stout. I have been in the Dunn County area for the past 5 years where I have gained a Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Services and a concentration in Substance abuse and have gained much experience within the helping profession.
My professional background consists of a variety of areas within this line of work: including but not limited to, working with populations with Physical/intellectual disabilities, substance use, children/adolescents, and young adults. Within these supported populations I have worked on skills development, emotional regulation, self-care, life coaching, daily living skills, and community living activities. I believe it is so important to meet every client where they are at. With that being said, these activities/coaching exercises vary from each client to help fit each client and help find ways to better fit their needs. I am interested in working with any individuals.
I love being able to help others achieve their goals: whatever the size may be. I believe that creating a trusting relationship is one of the most important things in trying to support clients. I consider myself to be a fun, caring, outgoing, open-minded, and energetic person. I use these personality traits within my work to create a fun environment for my clients and I in sessions. I heavily enjoy doing things outdoors. Such activities include hiking, swimming, rollerblading, and overall doing anything active. Some hobbies that I have other than outdoor activities are traveling to new places and exercising (going to the gym or fitness classes), and I have recently been finding enjoyment in going to cycling classes. I am always open to new things that clients may suggest as well, I find it fun trying new activities that others may like as well. I look forward to working with you in the next step of this new journey.

Hello, my name is Suzanne! I’ve spent the last 2+ years mentoring people through the CCS program as a certified Peer Support Specialist. A little background about me includes having grown up in a family that subjected me to every kind of abuse there was. When I was seven, my parents divorced. Even after the divorce, I had to deal with abuse. My mother was not around much, and I started rebelling to try and get attention. It was not long before I was hanging around a bad crowd and things began to spiral out of control (trips to rehab and a couple stints in the psych ward).
I dropped out of high school and got pregnant shortly after. When I was six months pregnant, I got my GED, a job, and went about the task of making a better life for myself and my daughter. With the birth of my daughter, I vowed while raising her as a single mom, I would never put her in the situations I had dealt with. When my daughter was three, I met my current husband, and we married as I was pregnant with my second daughter.
Things were better, but I was still dealing with depression, self-esteem, and weight issues. Just before my pregnancy with our fifth child, I was up to 230 pounds, so I started exercising and eating better. I got down to 140 pounds and about five years ago started doing CrossFit with my oldest son. Now, with six kids and a stable family, my husband and all four of our boys do CrossFit and use fitness as a bond we share. It has brought me through a lot of the things I have struggled with. Thinking of where I was 30 years ago, I’m proud of where I am now. I still battle with depression and self-doubt, but with support from my family and positive, healthy outlets like CrossFit, life is good.
As I’ve stated before I have spent the last 2+ years mentoring people through the CCS program. The work is challenging but rewarding because I get to try and direct others that may have been heading down a dark path and using my personal experiences, help them get back on their feet taking care of themselves.

Hello, I’m Derek and I’ve spent the last three years mentoring and assisting many consumers in developing a wide variety of skills through the CCS program and as a respite provider. My main area of focus is servicing the youth/adolescents through finding engaging and interesting activities in the community. Some of my personal favorite activities would include rock climbing/hiking, playing sports, learning new art skills, building projects and Legos, fishing, and basically anything else outdoors. Before working in CCS, I traveled around the country building gymnasiums and developed quite the experience working with my hands and power tools. I also gained life experience about what it means to work through adversity, develop a strong work ethic, and build trusting relationships. Using my skillset, I offer to assist consumers in these areas but not limited to emotional regulation, better well-being, peer support mentoring, various coping strategies, and developing self-confidence.
When I’m not working you can find me committing time to the two things, I am most passionate about which are my family and Minnesota sports. I spend a lot of free time on the family farm with animals. When I’m not there I’m usually rooting for the Timberwolves or the Vikings!

Hello, I'm Lisa and I love helping people. I have been mentoring people through life change after my own experiences of personal and professional life change. I believe that everyone experiences change, and that change can be hard, comes with its challenges and can even be traumatic. I want to walk with you through those difficult times, so you don't have to go it alone, as it can be hard to find your way in the struggle. Prior to my current career, I went to school at UW-River Falls and studied education. I was a middle school teacher for 12 years where I taught a variety of subjects, which included culture, health resilience, mindfulness, stress management, and daily skills for success. I also coached cross country and track at the middle and high school levels for 11 years, helping athletes improve themselves in their athletic ability as well as how they talk to and believe in themselves. Taking care of yourself is a strong value that I hold, believing that everyone needs to take care of themselves by what is done to and for our bodies. As a runner, I have coached myself through over a dozen marathons and multiple other distances, ultra marathons, duathlons, and triathlons. I enjoy being active and healthy and like to help others learn to do that for themselves at levels that are appropriate for them. I empower change through mindful living. I have experience helping others find their truth, gain self-esteem and confidence, and take their next right step. My goal is to support individuals through challenges towards life transformations from the inside out so that they can live their best life.

I’m a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and Life Coach, a hobby farm business owner (animal & bee lover), parent of two amazing girls and a part time Lecturer at a University in Wisconsin. I have over 20 years of experience in the helping profession working with children, adolescents, and adults in all capacities! Nine years ago, it all started for me with an idea of doing something different in the world by helping others to help themselves change their lives! I was working hard, but not feeling like I was making an impact as I was working in the criminal justice system and consistently kept seeing the same thing day in and day out. The revolving door of hurt people, hurting people really impacted me to the point of which I needed to do more by serving in a different capacity. I formed my business working with individuals (children, adolescents, and adults) with co-occurring disorders and with individuals with disabilities gain independence that grew over the years into more holistic services. With everything that I do I take a holistic approach. I truly believe in the ripple effect where one part of your life impacts other areas of your life. Balance is always easier said than done, but balance can be achieved. Services I offer include the following: Psychoeducation, EAGALA certified, Co-parenting Support, Wellness Management and Recovery, Employment Skills Training, Cognitive Behavioral Skills, Anger Management and Domestic Violence Relationship Education, Motivational & Self Esteem Education, Life Navigation and Coaching, Outdoor Activities, and Individual Skill Development and Enhancement.

Hello! My name is Jennifer, but everyone calls me Miss. Jen. I was given the title by my students, and it stuck with me. I would like to share with you how I became so passionate about helping others, especially children. I grew up in Nebraska, all over Nebraska as my
stepdad could not hold a job. I attended 13 different schools. My childhood was very unpleasant. I was abused sexually, physically, and emotionally by my stepdad and because my mother was a raging alcoholic she was never sober enough to intervene or care. I was able to use my feelings to thrive in athletics achieving a full scholarship for volleyball and
was finally able to escape. I have never looked back. I used my experience to educate myself of ways to help others, as a survivor I made it my divine decree to help others lost to the world of abuse. With my Human Services experience and dedication, I found that my perfect fit is working with CCS. I am continuing to learn and grow currently enrolled in
classes for Children's Advocacy and Social Justice, my hope is to be an example of survival and faith.
I have a beautiful family that includes numerous pets. My children all have their own passions, and I am blessed to be able to share in my oldest daughter's passion of volleyball and my two younger children's passion of hunting and fishing. I love to fish! I will take my rods with me on the road and just stop to fish, it gives me clarity. My husband is self-employed, enabling him to be available for all our family's adventures, which he
handles with humor and grace, as we all love a good, unexpected adventure. In my travels I usually bring my best buds, Elsa, a ten-year-old service dog and her brother Duke, a 1-year-old crazy springer spaniel, both are extremely well behaved and love the extra attention they receive from my participants.
I look forward to the opportunity of using my lived experience and education to help others maneuver the difficulties of unfortunate circumstances, helping them live their own passion and dreams.

Hello, I’m Noah and my goal is to share my experiences with others in an attempt to divert them from the suffering that I experienced; and to also help those that have experienced the same suffering and show them how to make positive changes.
I was born in northern Minnesota, 45 minutes from a paved road in a tiny log cabin my dad built. That log cabin was struck by lightning when I was six weeks old, and the cabin burned to the ground. My parents relocated to Stone Lake, Wisconsin and that is where I grew up on 120 acres without electricity, an indoor toilet, or running water.
My parents loved me and did what they felt was best to protect me, but they did not prepare me for life away from them. My dad owned a logging business, and I worked with him from the time I was 15 years old until I was 21 years old. At that time, he lost his business, and I lost my employment and sense of security. My dad slipped into depression for many years. I flounder, not knowing what to do.
At 22 years old, I was accepted to UW Barron County. My thought was to pursue a career in psychology. However, after two semesters, I found myself hanging out with the wrong people and drinking heavily. In the third semester, I failed all my classes. I just stopped to go into them. I was so far behind and uninterested. As a means of supporting myself, I decided to sell drugs. After a year and a half of doing that, a swat team was dispatched to my house and knocked the front door in and turning everything upside down, hauling me and my girlfriend away. I was now homeless and didn’t know where to turn. My dad got a call that I had been evicted from my house, and he showed up one day to see if I needed anything. I wanted more than anything not to need his help so I told him I was fine, and I would let him know.
After being arrested, I was put on probation and mandated to do therapy at the Aurora Clinic in Spooner Wisconsin. I hated it with a passion and continued to drink. During that time my anxiety was so high, I would randomly cry and struggle to catch my breath. It felt like there was a refrigerator resting on my chest. After six months of the therapy, I stopped drinking and continued the therapy for another year.
When I was 26, I picked up alcohol again, and many hard chips came as a result. I became a stepdad at the age of 28 and then had a second child when I was 29. At the age of 34, I became separated from my wife because of alcohol. It was incredibly excruciating to realize that all this pain was preventable if I had just made the choice to leave alcohol and live sober.
I decided that that was the last straw and that I would never drink again. I realize that alcohol is poisonous, and the likelihood that it will harm you is too high of a risk to mess with. After becoming sober, I realized that I was meeting the most awesome people, and I was actually thriving, but I had to hang in there for about a year before I started to see the good results of my life blossoming.

dedication to helping individuals struggling with mental health reach their full potential. My experience allowed me to truly understand the complexity and uniqueness of each individual. I worked with patients on a variety of topics, including boundaries, mindfulness exercises, identifying triggers, coping skills, and emotion regulation. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active by playing recreational sports or going on walks. In my free time, I love visiting dog shelters to
give animals the care and affection they deserve, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends. From a young age, I was always the friend people turned to for comfort and advice. I am grateful that I can continue supporting others in all aspects of my life. I am eager to embark on this next chapter, making a meaningful impact in the lives of those I serve.
